Accredited Calibration or Traceable Calibration?

The GRAS Accredited Calibration Laboratory is accredited by DANAK, the Danish Accreditation Fund. This accreditation is a quality label that proves that our calibration laboratory complies with the ISO 17025 standard for laboratories.

Accredited Calibration

If your quality assurance programs demand it, or if you for other reasons need the enhanced confidence that comes with an internationally recognized quality label, a GRAS Accredited Calibration is the right choice.

Traceable Calibration

A GRAS Traceable Calibration is identical to the rigorous calibration that all GRAS microphones are subject to before leaving the factory. This calibration is traceable to Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), in Germany.

When you are confident that your needs are covered by a traceable calibration, a GRAS Traceable Calibration is the right choice.

Pre-Calibration

If needed, a pre-calibration of microphones and ear couplers can be performed. This is useful, when the user wants to document the sensitivity and frequency response of the microphone before service/repair of the unit.

The pre-calibration data is valuable, when the user suspects that there might be something wrong with a microphone or ear coupler that has already been used for measurements. Finally, this data can be used for making post-measurement corrections of the results. After service/repair of the unit, a traceable or accredited calibration has to be made.
