We recently held a series of seminars covering the theme Headphone and Headset Measurements together with Listen, Inc. Because of the great interest in the seminars, there was a high turnout in all three venues.

The participants had the opportunity to learn about the latest within headphone test systems and methods by industry experts Peter Wulf-Andersen (GRAS), Steve Temme (Listen, Inc.) and guest speaker Chris Struck (CJS LABS) in an informal setting.

The seminars covered a series of topics including an historical perspective and background for the tools and standards used today and the limitations vs. possibilities in terms of the measurement capabilities within headphone and headset testing. The theoretical content was highly supported by a practical approach with hands-on tests and contributions from experienced professionals among the participants.

The interest has been overwhelming and the participant list counted both people from global market leading companies and from small boutique headphone brands. Many of the participants contributed with technical questions and their own experiences from their daily work , which in turn made the seminars full of knowledge sharing.

Nikolaj Lentz Rudyk, Area Manager in GRAS, explains: “I was amazed by the way the participants interacted both with the presenters and each other. It was a great gathering of experts where we as manufacturers really had a chance to listen to the engineers’ needs and achieve an insight into the market trends. Being a leader in the field our testing solutions cover all phases from R&D to end of the line testing. Pointing our ears towards the feedback from the experts we ensure to have the right tools in the future too”.

Based on the great interest in the seminars, we hope to conduct similar seminars within this field in the future.

We would like to thank all the participants, Chris Struck and our co-host Listen, Inc. for three great seminars and look forward to be working with you in the future.
