KEMAR Manikin Type 45BM and Type 45BA are head and torso simulators (HATS) based on worldwide average human male and female head and torso dimensions and meet the requirements of ANSI S3.36/ASA58-1985. The manikins simulate the changes that occur to sound waves as they pass a human head and torso such as the diffraction and reflection around each ear.
KEMAR Manikin Type 45BM (above left) and Type 45BA (above right) are identical except that Type 45BM includes a mouth simulator that allows it to be used for testing handsets and headsets.
The KEMAR manikin is the recognised industry-standard for in-situ anthropomorphic testing in the fields of:
- Telecommunications
- Hearing conservation
- Noise abatement
- Sound recording and sound-quality evaluation.
