Click to enlargeThe CCP* Probe Microphone Type 40SC is similar to the Probe Microphone Type 40SA in both size and performance but differs in the way it is powered.

The Type 40SC is built around a prepolarised microphone and preamplifier and requires a constant-current power supply. Instead of a cable, it has a BNC socket for connecting it to a constant-current power supply such as the G.R.A.S. CCP Supply Type 12AL. It has a coaxial BNC output connector.
