½" Free-field microphone Type 40AE - Prepolarised

The Type 40AE is ½" general purpose prepolarised microphone, covering a frequency range from 3.15 Hz to 20 kHz. Because of its high sensitivity, it can measure sound pressure levels down to 15 dB re. 20µPa.

This microphone is is similar to the Type 40AF but, as a prepolarised condenser microphone, it does not require an external polarisation voltage and can be used with G.R.A.S. CCP* preamplifiers such as the Type 26CA.
